The men’s collections were on show in June 2021. And even if the designers are always one step ahead and have an intuition that allows them to foresee a possible future, they were all far from imagining that a year later, after recovering a semblance of freedom following the Covid pandemic, war would break out in Ukraine, at the gateway to Europe.
What did they imagine for the season spring-summer 2022?
The irruption of a certain formality into men’s lives, an « office wear » spirit, but with supple suits often oversized. The return of black, in monochrome, barely disturbed by some vibrant, more festive colours.
Above all, they thought that men were going to reconnect with social life, wearing skirts, sequins, shiny things, night-owl looks that could also make the girls happy…
